I'm Reed Fish (2006) (C)
The feel-good catch of year!
Within an innovative narrative structure, the quirky small rural town of Mud Meadows is the backdrop of Reed Fish's coming of age story.
On the surface, Reed's life is already seemingly about to become complete. He has a firm, established role in the community (he is the Voice of Mud Meadows... a title gained from taking over his late father's local radio show) and is about to cement that further with his impending marriage to his beautiful fiancée.
But when Jill, his old high school friend, and fledgling country singer, comes back to town everything starts to unravel.
After a series of unfortunate romantic mishaps, he is left with nobody.
Reed goes on a tirade against his own town during his radio show, culminating in a live on-air fistfight with his best friend. Bruised and battered physically, as well as emotionally, Reed's soul-searching materializes into a decision that will change his life forever. -- (C) Sony Pictures, 2006, USA.
