"I LOVE this movie. In fact, I try to watch it once every year. And I don't even have a dog! It's a great movie to watch with the entire family, and it's not a bad date movie either, if your date appreciates animals. It's lighthearted and funny and insightful in a lot of ways, especially about what it means to be twenty-something and full of energy and then to suddenly find yourself super-busy raising a family in your thirties, and then to grow older and wiser in your forties (I'm talking about the dog, of course). Owen Wilson always makes me laugh, but in the role he plays in Marley & Me - the devoted, loving husband who's doing everything he can to provide for his family while keeping his wits about him at the same time - well, he has a way of making me cry too. I am not too proud to admit that I get all teared up when I watch some of the scenes in this movie. But best of all, the puppy sequences are simply adorable, and watching Kathleen Turner giving orders as the stern dog trainer is well worth the effort it takes to pop in a DVD. I highly recommend to this movie to moms, dads, families in general, and to everyone who has ever loved a dog."
